Grisham-Kellogg-Faust family papers, circa 1860-circa 2009 (bulk 1899-1976).

Papers consist of correspondence, photographs, personal papers and printed material reflecting social activities, family life and genealogy. Correspondence and photographs comprise the larger part of this collection, with personal papers, legal and financial papers, and printed material comprising a smaller portion. Letters discuss family matters, social events, health, personal activities and politics. They also describe activities of young adults and students in the first half of the 20th century, and logging in France during World War I. Photographs are comprised of card photographs, snapshots and copy prints of family members. They also include images of African American household employees, the 1927 Mississippi River Flood, and portraits of Gov. Sam Jones, Gov. John McKeithen and Senator Russell Long. Personal papers contain diaries, poems and notebooks. Legal and financial papers consist of land conveyances, inventories, receipts, invoices and statements for personal expenditures. There are also legal speeches made by Thomas W. Leigh (ca. 1973), funeral notices (1890-1927), wedding invitations, birth announcements, programs, and advertisements. A large part of the correspondence and photographs pertains to Daisy Emerson Grisham; her daughter, Louise Kellogg Leigh; and her granddaughter, Mary Stuart Kellogg.
